Insurance & Work Medicals

Comprehensive medicals for workers compensation, CTP claims, pre-employment assessments, commercial driver licences and other insurance purposes. Private fees apply.

In-Clinic Diagnostic Tests

A range of diagnostic tests performed on-site including ECG, Holter monitoring, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, ankle brachial pressure index (ABPI) and spirometry.

Nursing Services

Dedicated nursing care including wound management, ear syringing, immunisation administration, health assessments, chronic disease care plans and point-of-care testing.

Everything you need to know before, during and after your visit to Windang Family Medical Centre.

Fees

All services are bulk billed for patients with a current Medicare card — no out-of-pocket costs.

Private fees apply for patients without a Medicare card:

Standard consult (<20 min)$60
Long consult (20–40 min)$100
Prolonged consult (>40 min)$140

Private fees also apply to insurance medicals and commercial drivers' licence medicals. Payment accepted by cash, EFTPOS or direct deposit on the day.

Appointments

Booking: Call us on 02 4201 0288 or book online via HotDoc. Request a long appointment if you need extra time.
Telehealth: Available for regular patients in some circumstances. Please discuss with reception.
Walk-ins: Accepted, however scheduled patients are prioritised — wait times may be longer.
Home visits: Offered in certain circumstances at the GP's discretion. Please discuss with reception.

Communication

Contacting us: Our reception team can assist with most queries. The preferred mode of contact is by phone. A doctor or nurse may follow up in some cases.
Results: We may contact you by SMS, phone or mail. Please keep your contact details up to date and opt in for SMS communication.
Medical certificates: An appointment is required. Certificates cannot be backdated.
Referrals: New and repeat specialist referrals must be requested during your consultation.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 000 immediately.
The nearest hospital is Shellharbour Public Hospital, 15–17 Madigan Blvd, Mount Warrigal NSW 2528.

Onsite Pathology

Laverty Pathology collection services are available onsite at Windang Family Medical Centre.
No need to travel elsewhere for your blood tests or other pathology — our onsite Laverty collection centre makes it convenient to complete your tests in one visit.
Pathology requests must be obtained from your GP prior to collection. Please book an appointment if you do not have a current request.
